With more than 50 music theaters, 100 shops and restaurants, 13 world-class golf courses, a number of theme parks, and scenic view of Ozark Mountains, the city of Branson has something to offer for all its guests. There are tons of fun outdoor adventures for the whole family and friends.
In this entry, we will breakdown some of the coolest places to explore in Branson with your friends. Read this entry and make a better itinerary for your trip in the “live entertainment capital of the world.”
Exciting Outdoor Adventure
Covering over 100,000 acres of land in the Midwest, the city of Branson combines the beauty of old town comfort and modern city leisure. It covers more than 200 miles of trekking trail for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The Henning State is a good example of outdoor and nature adventure, as it covers more than 1500 acres of land with the great natural view. For the guided forest tour, a naturalist tour guide will take you and your friends to the most beautiful spots for the best views and photo ops.
Lakeside Wilderness Area offers another great trail side, a great adventure site for people who love the outdoors. It’s a hidden gem that leads to Lake Taneycomo, one of the city’s best lakes for fishing.
More picturesque views can be found in the College of Ozarks, a place that features beautiful landscapes, pathways, and fountains. Guests can also enjoy delectable dishes and unique recipes at Keeter Center Restaurant, which features a rustic lodge theme with gorgeous furnishings.
Fun Water Activities
Branson city has three beautiful lakes: Bull Shoals, Table Rock and Taneycomo, all great for water activities like swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, or even sailing. The Bull Shoals lake is the biggest in Branson, the clear waters makes it great for swimming, scuba diving and fishing. Table Rock is also great for fishing, as it’s a home for catfish, large bluegill and small mouth and largemouth bass. Taneycomo Lake on the other hand is home for rainbows and brown trouts.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of caves and caverns all over the Ozarks that both experienced cave explorers and first-time spelunkers can enjoy. The Marvel cave is one good example, it features wonderful formations of limestone that even first-timer cavers can explore. Thanks to the safe ramps and 600 stair steps that makes the experience convenient. The one hour will take you at almost 500 feet below sea level. When you get to the bottom, there’s a 1957 cable train waiting and will take you back to the surface of the Earth. The good thing about this cave is that, it is inside the most popular amusement park in Branson city – the Silver Dollar City, making it a fun side-trip activity for your friends or family.
If you’re looking for a more challenging cave tour, then head to Talking Rocks Cavern in Branson West. This cave tour features tons of crystal and rock formations. Unlike the Marvel cave, guests in this tour should wear safety gears and flashlights, which alone should give you a good idea what to expect in the tour.
Again, you will never run out of cool places to explore in Branson with your friends. Plan your itinerary now and have a blast on your vacation.
