And while the list of attractions in Sydney is quiet exhaustive, here’s a pick of some enjoyable activities for making the trip memorable.
- Explore the Sea life at the Sydney Aquarium:
A collection of more than 700 species with over 13,000 fish and other sea water creatures would be something kids would enjoy admiring. The clear tunnels prove to be an awesome display and the huge sharks and stingrays, turtles, platypuses, penguins, tropical fish are sure to woo you for having a great time!
- Shop and Splurge at the Rocks Market:
Nestled between the Sydney harbour bridge and the historic rocks neighbourhood, Rocks market is a colourful kaleidoscope of the local culture and you can get some best deals on art ware, jewellery, books as you walk around. There are street performances and entertainers that will adorn your visit and you can relish the scrumptious food at the food stalls and eateries.
- Walk the Browns Forest loop trail:
To observe the untouched part of this metro city, you can take this splendid walk in the St. Ives suburb. The Browns forest loop trail is ideal for nature lover, bird-watching enthusiasts and the kids will love the self-guided tour in the backdrop of beautiful flora and the chirping of birds.
- Marvel at the Sydney Tower:
The second tallest building in Australia and second tallest observation tower in the southern part of the world, this building is one of the most visited attraction in Sydney. Apart from the observation tower, Sydney tower has a huge shopping mall and plenty of elite restaurants to have a perfect meal. Adding adventure to it, you can try out the Sky-walk which gives the bird’s-eye view of the city.
- Hop on the Scenic Railway ride in the Blue mountains:
A prime geographical tourist attraction of Australia, Blue Mountains is more than just a majestic mountain range. The limestone Caves of Jenolan and the pass of the Giant Stairway through the Jamison Valley are a fascinating sight, but the most sought after activity to do when visiting the Blue Mountains is to hop on a ride on the steepest passenger railway track with an inclined angle of 52 degrees. The ride is enthralling and you can admire the cliffs of sandstone on the journey.

Sydney Bike tours are very popular and travelling around the city on bikes is an interesting activity for families and kids. Bonding over a laid-back tour of this beautiful city and admiring the panoramic view is what you are looking for on a family vacation, isn’t it!
